Objective

Create an incentive-based experience inspired by the new Warner Bros. Pictures film Man of Steel to educate consumers about Norton’s superior cyber security protection services.


Solution

We developed the Norton "Discover Your Powers" virtual environment in which consumers could test their cyber smarts for chances to claim a free trial of Norton service and be entered for a chance to win $10,000.

Consumers explored a 360° virtual Metropolis to find scenarios related to Norton security services. Answering questions related to each scenario unlocked a free 30-day trial of Norton Hotspot privacy — a $29 value — and earned consumers an entry for a chance to win $10,000. The experience also offered consumers a sneak peek at exclusive Man of Steel trailers before the premiere. And by engaging on mobile devices, they could access exclusive video content, downloads and apps related to the film.

To help Norton establish social connections, consumers who logged in through Facebook Connect received a more personalized experience, with the ability to explore nine customized environments across the 360° digital Metropolis.
